Not sure what to say?

Joan-
You may not remember me, but I am Byron Berhow's daughter, so I remember you from the School for the Blind, and from Trinity. I know your dad was a person whom the word "volunteer" typifies -- always doing something at Trinity. He will be missed.

First of all, hi to my cousins that have submitted entries in the guest book. I went up to Vancouver to see family and friends never dreaming that I'd be attending my dad's funeral. He was eighty-eight, still his death was a shock to me.
My dad was a very devoted father. He read my lessons, text books and proofread assignments for me when I was in junior high and high school. Back then the books weren't available on demand.
In 1974, I went to Guide Dogs for the Blind in San...

Dear Joan and families,
My heart goes out to you. I would always take the time to speak withyour dad when I saw him out and about. I marveled at his ability to be out doing yard work. He truly made Vancouver "Sparkle". He and your mother were good friends to my mother Bette. God's blessing on you during this time. His memory will remain and grow strong as time passes. Tears shed will become cleansing tears filled with love and remembrances.

I always will have fond memories of Uncle Richard. I remember visiting him and his family, summers when I was a child. He always a very good to me. He was a very good man and cared for everyone. Truly a fine person in all aspects. I will miss you.

Joan, I didn't know your father but I did know your Mother, Mary. I lived in Reubens, Idaho when I was in grade school. Mary's father would take us kids to school in a big sled pulled by horses in the winter time. After we moved to Clarkston, Wa. your Mother lived not far from us. I remember once after you was born I saw you and Mary down town. You was so cute. My Mother always told me you was named after me. I am now 71 years old so that has been a long time ago. My thoughts and Prayers are...

I spent much time with Uncle Richard, and of course Aunt Mary as a child and have very fond memories of staying at the farm in Genesee, we had a great time with all of the cats that were in attendance. One of Uncle Richards favorites things for me to do as a child was to comb his hair (of which he had little) we always had a good laugh about that, he had a marvelous sense of humor, and was always very entertaining, he will be missed greatly.

I always looked forward to seeing and speaking with Richard every other month where he was a regular attendee of the Central Park Neighborhood Association Meetings. He was often thanked at the meetings for his "neighborly actions" and the example he set of what it means to be a part of the community. He enjoyed the good company at the meetings--though he wasn't able to hear much of the business. He enjoyed being with his friends in the Central Park Neighborhood where he was loved and...
