I have been thinking about Richard and Nancy more recently. Thinking about how they were doing. I was Nancy's caregiver for several months. I was blessed to be able to get to know them. They have a special place in my heart. I hadn't seen that Richard had passed. Are you going o have a memorial service? Prayers for the family. Lila Slaymaker

Your Dad WAS Cornell -- for so many of us, he showed us how to live fully, so enjoy life but to care for those who needed help along the way. He was a rock, someone who could be counted on whenever needed, able to celebrate joyfully each triumph. His understanding of students and his ability to bring out their best was unparalled. I was very sad to hear that Dick had passed, but I knew his health was failing. I last spoke with him about a month ago. Dick was my friend and mentor for over 50 years. We both started at Cornell College in 1967, Dick as chaplain and professor, me as a lowly freshman. He was intensely kind and treated everyone with respect, even when we looked outlandish and had some crazy ideas.
