My deepest sympathy to the entire family. I worked with Gene for four years (1952-56) and had great respect and fondness for him. I covered some of Dick's high school and college basketball games aand thought a great deal of him. I also remember Laverne. I worked for Times-World in Roanoke for five years after leaving Bristol and often saw Dick's name, but never actually saw or talked with him---which I regret. All of you will continue to be in our thoughts and prayers.
