We met Richard when my mother started going through chemo treatment. We were all a little frightened as we didn't know what was in store for her. How lucky for us that Richard happened to be in the chair next to her and immediately put us right at ease and made my mom feel so much better with the back and forth banter. Ricky had an exemplary volunteer career as a Rumson fireman and served the Borough well in his paid career as a member of the Rumson Police Department. He served as Chief for the final 6 years of his tenure. Our prayers go out to his family and Godspeed.

Richard was my very first friend at RBRHS. He sat behind me I. A class. I was a new freshman from Westfield. I had NOT MADE ANY FRIENDS. Ricky was kind. I remember him using turpentine on his hair to get paint out. That didnt work out to well. But what a great first friend. I am so sorry for your loss of this good man.
