Tomorrow, July 17, 2021, we will be remembering our childhood friend, Richard "Dicky" Toft, during his memorial service on Widbey Island. Three families share memories: the Toft´s, Ketterer´s and Colender´s of Trenton N.J. back in the 1940´s. All three fathers taught at Junior 4, a public junior high school while mothers were housewives. The families became friends so picnics and birthday celebrations were highlights for us children. Dick and I were friends and classmates many years ago at St. Anthony's in Trenton. From another Swabbie to a real officer and gentleman I wish "fair winds and following sees". To Dick's family I express my condolences. God Bless All.
