Not sure what to say?

A long time friend of his sister's, my oldest and greatest memory of Richard was when we did Gilbert and Sullivan at his nana's house. He was 10. Will never forget. Loved him so.

Andy, I was so sorry to read the notice in the Times. It was a great pleasure to run into Richard near your home a couple of years ago when I was on my way to an appointment and I was early. We got to stop and catch up while standing in front of the church on Broadway. It was so great to see him and get the latest on you. I look back on it now as a special gift, one I had no way of knowing would have so much meaning for me today. My thoughts are with you.

Mr. Traubner leaves behind a legacy of insightful writing about music, theatre, opera and film that will bring pleasure to readers, and assist researchers, for decades or centuries to come. I met him at productions in New York, and his enthusiasm for live music and theatre was infectious.

There is a nice piece about him by Andrew Lamb at Zarzeula.net

Sad news. Too young. I didn't know Richard personally, but professionally he was an distinguished colleague; a man of many musical talents. His book on Operetta is an important part of my library. Condolences to all his family and friends. Rest in peace.

Bless your beautiful creative soul, Richard. You had a long battle to fight. I hope you are at peace, and able to let your soul fly to the creative heights for which it has always been meant. I was happy to know you - privileged to sing your words. Thank you.
