Richard F. Trice, Sr, age 76, of Geneva, passed away Tuesday, December 31, 2013 at UH Memorial Hospital of Geneva. He was born September 3, 1937 in Unity, PA to Gladys (Johnson) & Robert Trice and married Shirley Berlin on January 27, 1961 in Export, PA. Richard worked as a lineman and cable splicer for Alltel and owned and operated R & R Trenching in Geneva for 35 years. He was a 32nd Degree Mason in Geneva. Richard was a past member of VFW Post 6346 in Geneva and the Geneva-on-the-Lake Volunteer Fire Department. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved deer hunting and fishing. He is survived by his wife, Shirley Trice; sons, Richard (Debbie) Trice, Jr., Dr. Randy (Beth) Trice, Rusty (Amy) Trice; daughter, Stacy (Daryl) Jones; grandchildren, Krysten, Ryan, Zachary, Adam, Christian, Aundrea, Matthew & Ciara; great-granddaughter, Terra; brothers, Bill, Lester, Denny; sisters, Nancy, Becky, Susie. He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert & Gladys. Friends will be received 1-3 PM & 5-7 PM Sunday, January 5, 2014 at THE BEHM FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 175 South Broadway, Geneva, Ohio. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM, Monday, January 6, 2014 with Pastor Michael Haury of Crossroads Community Church officiating. Final resting place will be Evergreen Cemetery in Geneva.
