Bon Voyage! Have a wonderful journey and safe passage. You leave behind many fond memories & a better San Diego. Thanks for being a part of our lives

Richard was one of those people who kept in touch, always interested in maintaining friendships and getting the high school reunions going. He was my high school classmate, fellow Madrigal and my ride to school with the radio blasting. He was a kind and caring person, a true gentleman. I will truly miss him. My sincere condolences to his family.

Mr. Dependable! Always available to help. A loyal friend and supported a lot of causes! I've known him since Jr. High at Roosevelt, and sang bass with him in Madrigals at San Diego High (only bass I've ever known who could sing soprano using his amazing falsetto). Treasure his memory and his legacy. He was an honorable man. And I look forward to seeing him again in heaven (Thank you Jesus)

Dick was an extraordinary human being.
He was a loyal friend.
We knew each other as school friends and then met at various times throughout our lives.
I am so saddened to learn of his passing.
RIP Dick and prayers to your family.
Love,
Judy Lawrence Hawkins
