My Dad, Cordell Hull, of Hohenwald, Tn, started flying at age 59 in 1975. He soon bought a C-150 and later a C-172. Richard did all the maintenance on both planes and Daddy, as well as the rest of our family, thought the world of Richard. Even though Daddy has recently had a stroke, he was alert enough Saturday to understand Richard had passed away. When told of his death, Daddy bowed his head and said, "I am so sorry to hear that." He was my hero too, Richard. I admired him tremendously for his courage and refusal to let the loss of his legs slow him down in the slightest. I'll always remember that and will always have him for an inspiration for when things get tough in the future.
