Not sure what to say?

If this is the same Mr Updegraff who taught at Riverside Elementary school in Milwaukie, Oregon, I would just like to say as a student of his, he was my All Time Favorite Teacher! He told my Mom I was one of the most well~rounded personalities he ever had, and that I was a joy to have in his classroom. I have often thought about his words, which my mother shared with me. His kind and generous heart and his teaching style was the best a child in early education could hope for! May he RIP

Dear Anna Marie & Family;
So sorry to hear about Dick. Our thoughts are with you.
~ Debbie Axtell, David Smith, & Sharon Smith.

Please accept my deepest condolences. The NW Chapter of the 10th Mtn. Division Assn. will miss Dick's infectious smile and positive attitude. Please let us know if there is anything you need. My best, Martha Rainey, Chapter Director and Descendant.

I was a neighbor as a child and always found Dick and Anna to be so nice. My sisters and I lived directly across the street so we were there often playing. Good memories.

When I started teaching at Sunnyside Elementary School in North Clackamas School District in 1979, Dick was one of the first people I met. We became friends and discovered we shared the same birthdate.

It was always a pleasure to interact with Dick. I had not seen him for decades, but will always remember him fondly.

My condolences go out to his family.

He was my principal @ Wilkes School in the 1965-66 school year. He was a great gentleman. I will always remember his 1947 or 48 Pontiac.he drove back then. Looked brand new to me.
