My sister, Mary Adkins Thayer and I were talking about Mr. And Mrs. Van over the phone a few days ago. Mary lives in Schulenberg, Tx and I live in Oklahoma City. I remember Mr. Van working out in the yard and mom stopping the car to say hi. Mr. Van always had a smile and a laugh. My parents would play bridge with the Vans often.
