Not sure what to say?

For over thirty years Rick was truly one of the truest friends anyone could be blessed to have. He asked little but gave everything. His Christian ethics were a life model to emulate and anyone who has been privileged to spend time with Rick knows the joy of his presence. We are all better for having shared the years with him.

We had the pleasure of Rick's friendship during our college years at Mansfield State College. We all lived in the same dorm. Anyone who knew Rick, knew that he was a big fan of Roberto Clemente and baseball. Although we all went are separate ways after graduation, we never forgot Rick's kindness and friendship. We send are sincere sympathy to his wife and children.

OUR DEEPEST SYMPATHY TO YOUR FAMILY FROM OURS. MR. VARGO WAS A SPECAIL TOUCH TO OUR LIVES. HE WAS ALWAYS SO WARM AND FRIENDLY AND THE BEST TEACHER TO ALL 3 OF MY CHILDREN. WE WILL MISS HIM. OUR THOUGHTS AND PRAYERS ARE WITH YOU ALL,

I had the honor of knowing Rick Vargo in a rather unique way. Rick and I were roommates for almost our entire time at what was then known as Mansfield State College in Mansfield, PA (now known as Mansfield University.) We roomed together for our entire freshman, sophomore and junior years as well as one semester of our senior year; the only reason we didn't finish the year together is that Rick's student teaching took him well off campus. Rick was a kind, thoughtful and considerate man who...

I was on Rick's interview committee at Thomas Jefferson when he was just out of Mansfield College. His first teaching station was in Intermediate West teaching 4th graders between Ann Warmkessel and me in an open concept "pod." We were amazed at the maturity he showed in his first year of teaching. He seldom if ever lost his cool, showed his true caring for kids and exhibited tough love when necessary. He remained a lasting friend after some of us transferred to another school. He will always...

Mr.Vargo was my third grade teacher about 21 years ago. He was the kindest most patient teacher I ever had. He had a heart of gold and will be missed. my deepest sympathy goes out to the family I was not able to attend the services. Rest in peace Mr. Vargo.

My family and I would like to let you know that Mr. Vargo will be missed very much. I had him as a teacher at Thomas Jefferson some years ago and my children also had him. We are keeping the family in our thoughts and will be thinking of you.

I had the pleasure of knowing Rick through Little League softball. Our daughter's were always on different teams,so I never got to coach with him. Truly my loss. I saw how he conducted himself and believe that he was one of a kind. I will be forever thankful that I had the opportunity to know Rick, and will always remember what a great person he was.
