We will so miss our dentist Dr. V! As well as being an extraordinary dentist, he led an amazing life full of activity on the water, the slopes, and in travel. He was always so interesting to talk to as we compared travel experiences. Never one to rush a patient, he always had a smile, an interesting story, and an ear to listen. A life well lived for sure but cut short way too soon.

It was my great good fortune to have Dr V as my dentist for so many years. Such a kind and wonderful person. Sorely missed.

Our family's deepest condolences to family and friends of Dr. V. He was our children's first dentist and a wonderful person.

I first met Dick when we worked together summers at Howes Leather and have had the pleasure of knowing him since I was just 16 years old. He became our family dentist and my children never feared going to the dentist - they loved seeing Dr. V. Cheers to a life well-lived. You left us much too soon. I am so thankful for your presence in my life. Hope the skiing is great in heaven.
Love,
Susan Gilmore

Magnolia Beach will never be the same without Dick the Dentist as he was affectionately called by Andy & David. My sincere condolences to Peter and David.

I will miss you, Dick! My work" husband" of over 20 years. I was a fresh out of school dental assistant at Dr. Gavel's and you were the hot young dentist. We had a great bond that transcends death. Mike and I adored you. You were an artist as I still have the jewelry you made me and Mike still has the bridge! Rest in peace my partner in crime and tell mom I still have her piano cd. Much sympathy to David and Peter .Always in our hearts, Mike and Carol Hooper

Dr V ... yes, a perfect description. Meet him once and you've met him for life. He will be sorely missed.
