Richard Eugene Vaughn Richard Eugene Vaughn was born November 18, 1954 in Ardmore, Oklahoma to Marvin Jesse Louis Vaughn and Elizabeth Lee (Blanton) Vaughn. Richard was an Ardmore resident all of his life and graduated from Ardmore High School. On March 9,1973, he married the love of his life, Tammy Sue Elliott in Gainesville, Texas. They made a home here in Ardmore where Richard worked as a supervisor at Michelin formerly known as Uniroyal. He retired after 41 years of diligent service. He was a member of the Mary Niblack Baptist Church where he exercised his Christian faith where he and his family served. Richard was known for his love of wildlife. He was avid at hunting, fishing, golfing with friends, softball and most of all; spending time with his grandchildren whom he loved dearly. Preceding Richard in death are his parents, his brothers Jesse, John, David and Joe Vaughn. His sister Betty Muncrief; Sister-in-law, Anita Vaughn; and brother-in-law Bill Summers. Richard leaves to cherish his life, wife Tammy Vaughn of the home, three sons, Jason and wife Bridgit Vaughn, Aaron Vaughn, and Josh and wife Rebecca Vaughn. Brother Wayne Vaughn. Sisters Peggy Johnston and husband Bill. Nancy Summers, Phyllis Julian and husband Harold; Anita Vanbebber and husband Jerry. Brother-in-laws Arnold Muncrief and Brett Elliott and wife Kellie. Four grandchildren Chandler Lemons, Bayler and Marshall Lyons, Avarie Vaughn, and Lily Vaughn. Four great grandchildren, Lydia, Dallas, and Eli Lemons; and Beckham Lyons. A host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other extended family. Also left to cherish Richards love and brotherly bond are his fishing and hunting buddies; Jimmy Harkins and Shannon Boatman. Graveside services will be held on Monday, September 26, 2022 at 11:00 am, at Provence Cemetery with Reverend Bruce Kirby officiating.
