I was saddened to read this death notice in today's Tribune. I became acquainted with 'Rick' when I was employed at The Birches. I remember him being an avid fisherman and in spite of some physical challenges, he was determined to drive to Wisconsin for annual fishing trips, outfitted with a kayak he strapped to the top of his Jeep. I still have a beautiful pin that he made that looks like a fishing lure. One Christmas he made one for every female employee. He was an unforgettable...

Tim, Judy, and Family...

I cannot tell you how surprised I was when I learned of Rick's recent death. My prayers are with all of you and, although Rick and I had our "opportunities" over the years when I worked at The Birches, it was always evident he had a heart as big as Dallas. I will remember him fondly.
