Not sure what to say?

What a wonderful man Dick was! Many great memories of Dick and my Dad..(Robert F Valentine) RIP

Dick and my dad were great friends. I remember visiting him as I grew up. When Dick and my dad were together, they were a humorous force of nature. I can picture them together now, laughing and kidding each other for eternity. What a great guy!

I am so sorry that your father has passed away. I loved seeing him at my father's funeral and to relive some memories. I can still see his gentle, hopeful smile and half raised eyebrows as he tried to encourage me to sing louder in the church choir. My thoughts are with you all. Love Shari O'Brien Saunders

How did we ever talk Richard into directing the Children's Choir at Marcellus Presbyterian? It was such fun working with him.

I am so thankful for my many years of great memories - of both Richard and Joan!

So sorry to hear that "Cute Dick" has passed on. We will always remember the great times we had in the kitchen in Marcellus around the piano. Our prayers and thoughts are with all of his family. Big hugs for all.

To the Warrender family, I am so saddened to hear that Scotty passed on. He (and all the rest of the family) was a huge part of my growing up years. I will always remember him singing me "Every little breeze". He will be missed. All my love to all of you.

He'll be missed. Our days are numbered, and there will be obstacles to overcome. None of that bothered Richard. He lived life to the fullest. Richard was a great influence on me. I retain a love for sports and music as he had me throwing around balls of all sorts, and introduced me to all sorts of musical instruments in the dungeon. How did he fit that standup Bass in his VW bug/rabbit? And the irony of playing a stand up Bass, in his later years, from a wheelchair. I was always...

Cute Dick loved it when all his girls would show up at a gig,the guys would be like "what did they call you" and we would all pipe up and say "he's cute Dick" and he would just smile.

Thank you all for your kind words and for sharing your fond memories. The world won't be the same without dad! For those in the Syracuse area, please note, the service will be MAY 23, not the 16th. You can reach the family through my email, [email protected], should you have questions about the service.
