Richard E. Waterman December 13, 2019 Richard E. "Dick" Waterman, 93, of Camden, passed away on Friday, December 13, 2019 at Rome Memorial Hospital. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday at 10:20 a.m. at St. John' Church in Camden. Interment will take place in St. John's Cemetery....

My deepest sympathy to the Waterman family. Mr. Waterman was a good man. As a kid growing up in Vernon, in the summer we would sit outside the post office and wait for Mr. Waterman to show up with the Utica-Rome Speedway pace car. When he came out we would pester him for tickets to the Racetrack. He never turned us down. Many years later I got the honor to talk to him. I thanked him for the way he treated my self and my friends. He was very kind. I've never forgotten that and never will....
