Not sure what to say?

Dearest Dolly and Family;
It is truly hard to believe he has passed.Richard was an adoring and an adored man.He thought of us all as brilliant, beautiful and/or caring.I thought of him the same way.You were the love of his life and he was the love of yours.I will miss his sense of adventure and his joi de vivre. He was one of a kind.

We feel so very privileged to have shared treasured moments by the canal with Richard. Richard's warmth and affability were nothing less than exemplary, his generosity and wit the mark of true gentleman. We will miss him. We look forward to toasting him with a pisco sour, soon.

Five of many important concepts I learned from Richard H. Weiss in the last 30 years:

1. Be nice to rebellious teenagers. When you run into your (step) teen grandson sneaking home at 5.30am just say good morning and never mention it again until he describes the incident with gratitude 10 years later.
2. Don’t worry about money; you’ll live longer. If you need it, it will come. I haven’t quite managed this characteristic yet-some may call it denial- but he is a good model for the...

I will never forget the wonderful times I spent with Richard by the lake and by the pool talking about life and taking in his special wisdom. I will miss you.

You and Dolly have been wonderful friends for so many years. I hope you knew how very much you were respected and appreciated. Wit, yes, but so much more.

Love, Lucille

You had that twinkle in your eyes, especially after a Bloody Mary or a good bottle of red. We will miss you forever, darling Richard. Your humour and your kindness were an inspiration , and your love affair with Dolly created an amazing life for her, and for all who knew you both. love, Jo Ann , Howard and Adam Chase

So hard to believe you are gone...but so life affirming to have know someone who is so warmingly remember by so many....all who seem to have a special story about the time you made them laugh .....thanks for allowing us to be apart of your life......

We often think of Richard's fun loving zest for life. We are thankful to have had him in our lives, even for a short time! He's truly an inspiration to all!

Thank you for a wonderful life. Fond and loving memories will be with us always.
Richard
