Dick Welch - January, 1996
On behalf of my mother, my sister and myself, I would like to thank all of you who have offered help, condolences, and kind words concerning my father's death. He was truly a remarkable man; kind, gentle and genuinely unselfish. I can only strive to live my life as he lived his.

I am deeply saddened to learn of Dick's death. I knew and worked with him for a number of years and found him to be a wonderful friend, a tremendous co-worker and one of the most knowledgeable people in the field of marine insurance I have ever known. He was a kind and gentle man who deeply loved his family and was considerate to everyone. The world is a poorer place without him.
