Richard went to be with the Lord on September 7, 2010. He was born to Earl and Alma Wells on April 27, 1936 in Comptche. He owned and operated Wells Dental, Inc., and invented products that are still used in the dental laboratory today. He earned his private pilot license in 1976 and flew to many...

Not sure what to say?

Ginger and family,
We both remember Richard as being thoughtful, willing to teach and so forgiving. I once told him that if I was him, I would have fired me a long time ago. Knowing both Earl and Alma , his traits were no doubt a direct result of his upbringing and both of your lifestyles. In turn his mentoring of Cressa and myself, has been one of the most influential milestones of our lives. Why he took such an interest in us, we have come to believe is just that ...

I attended Comptche School with Richard when he was in 8th grade back in the 50's. Even though I left Comptche and now live in Santa Rosa, I followed the Comptche news and attended the firemen's BBQ this last year and saw Richard. He was a honored citizen of Comptche. I also attended Sunday School at their home.
My prayers are with the family at this time.

Somehow he always knew just what to say to nudge me in the right direction, whether I was 5, 16, or 32. My heart hurts.

To All of the Wells Family,
We hope time will heal your broken heart and it will, but never too soon. We are thinking of you with heavy hearts.

I knew Richard from my childhood and have many fond memories Richard was a childhood friend of my father and was a very large part of my life in younger years. I have the most loving memories of Richard coming up the driveway on his Honda 90 for lunch and dinner sitting at the table with family and friend offering a pray and sharing stories of the day. I haven't been to Comptche for years but always will feel it was home and Richard and Ginger will alway's be a 2nd set of parent to me. I...

My condolences to the Wells family.

Dear Jeanette,
We are sorry to learn of your brother’s passing. We did not know him but remember how fondly you always spoke of him and felt you loved him very much. It is good to know that he is not dead but alive with our Lord and one day you will be together again.
We pray that God will comfort you and your family during this time and keep your happy memories of the past a blessing to you.

Richard & Jeanette at granddaughter's wedding 9/1/07

My brother Richard was such a respected person in his community, his dental business, his church, & Mt. Gilead Bible Camp. He was not one for a lot of words but when he did speak, it was with wisdom and caring. He was always ready to help others. Yet, he retained his fun side. His amusing little lines would always bring a smile & a laugh. I will remember & miss his robust hug/squeeze.

To the Wells Family,

I have many fond memories of spending time with you in Comptche. Richard always held a special place in my father's heart. I love you all and wish you warmth, light and peace during this difficult time.
