Richard was one of the most helpful and influential people in my career. I worked closely with him for many years, and we shared a lot of experiences. I always admired his knowledge and work ethic, but most of all his kindness and character. Someone we could all model ourselves after. Our prayers and condolences to Gail, Carrie, and Colleen.

To Richard's family, I am very sorry to hear the news of his passing. I worked with Richard from when I first started my career with Akzo and later with DSM and I was always impressed with his intelligence, professionalism and good sense of humor -- a truly great person. I wish you all strength during this difficult time.

Dear Gail and family, I'm so, so sorry to hear of Richard's passing. It is a sad day indeed. I'm certainly remembering events with you and my sister Charlotte -- wedding showers in your home in Evansville & weddings and get togethers at Johnson Place. So many good and happy memories. My thoughts and prayers are with you. Much Love, Kimber
