Richard was one of the most helpful and influential people in my career. I worked closely with him for many years, and we shared a lot of experiences. I always admired his knowledge and work ethic, but most of all his kindness and character. Someone we could all model ourselves after. Our prayers and condolences to Gail, Carrie, and Colleen.

I worked with Richard from when I first started my career with Akzo and later with DSM and I was always impressed with his intelligence, professionalism and good sense of humor -- a truly great person. Dear Gail and Family I remember Richard from his Princeton Days so long ago and your courtship and being in your wedding in New Jersey, Always think of you as a couple. So glad you had 50 plus years together. Richard will be missed but lives on in our memories ......always
