When I was in grade school we were referred to Dr. Werner for an issue our Cairn Terrier had. He was able to treat our dog and we became life long clients. As a teenager I went to work for Raleigh Hills Veterinary Clinic as a kennel kid. I always enjoyed every day working for the clinic and working with Dr Werner was no exception. At one point he brought in a dog that had been part of a litter dumped near his property. I took that dog home and he was the best dog I had ever had! I have...

I was one of Dr. Werner's many Veterinary Technicians. The time I
spent at Raleigh Hills Veterinary Clinic was amazing and so much a part of my evolving in my profession. This was due to the exposure to all the amazing Veterinarians, specialists and general practitioners that he amassed over the years. I believe he was the first Veterinary practice owner to offer the services of both Board Certified Specialists in the same facility with general practitioners. His vision, was not only...

I met Dick when he first opened up his clinic in Raleigh Hills and I had a new puppy I had gotten from the pound. I went into the examination room with my new Puppy, Rudy, while Dick gave him a checkup and a shot. Dick looked at me and asked me to sit down - which I did. I wasn't into exam rooms and especially shots.

Over the years Dick and I kept our friendship going even after I moved from Oregon to the Washington, DC area. I would go by the clinic and say hello when I was...

The best vet ever. One could even call him after he semiretired to ask for advice. My dogs were always in the best of hands with Dick. It was always a pleasure to visit with Dick as he had so many interests. My condolences

Really enjoyed our association vis 4 cats and our beloved German Shepard who Dick came to our house to euthanize. He had humor and compassion ad although I have not seen him in years... I will never forget him. Condolences to his loved ones.
