Not sure what to say?

"Chuck" Lindberg introduced me to Dick and over the years we had many conversations via phone. Dick never refused to personalize one of his books. He honored me with...Every Best Wish to Art Elchek from an admiring friend and fellow-veteran. Dick Wheeler. Dick and I promised to toast each other on this past Veterans Day but it never happened. Dick, we'll have that toast when next we meet. Stay well, I miss you. Art

The Krott family has lost a dear friend. Richard seen our two children become young adults. I informed him on their monthly progress in school and out. He was amazed on how much we traveled, although it was hardly ever out of PA. I will miss talking to him about reading his books, for he gave me insight on what he did not write. I only hope that my children hold their head high, and say " we knew that Marine," as they pass his plaque on the wall of fame in the halls of Muhlenberg High...

Dick, We will never forget our last dinner together, or that beautiful autumn afternoon when we sat in your parlor and watched your film "premiere" together. In life you were a gifted writer and poet, a gentle soul, and dear friend. We will miss you dearly. All our love, Sharon and Steve

I remember all the good times our family enjoyed in Pine Grove. We lost a good soldier and hero. You were an inspiration to all our service men today and will be truly missed
