Richard Lee "Dick" Whitmire

Dick's love for golf will live on in all his friends at Capital City Country Club. His loving spirit will be missed.

I feel for your loss.

Richard and I had been friends for almost 50 years. We met when he and I worked at the Tallahassee Democrat in the early 60's. We kept in touch over the years and both ended up working for and retiring from, the Department of Transportation. I saw him just a couple of weeks ago in Albertsons and we chatted about the "old" days. I am shocked at his passing and will truly miss this wonderful man. My sincere sympathy is extended to his family.

Thoughts and prayers are with the Whitmire family during your loss.

There's an empty chair now at our Saturday morning coffee gatherings. So sad, and we will miss our friend very much. But we take some solace in thinking of how beautiful must be those heavenly golf courses.

We were so sorry to hear of your loss. The thoughts of many are with you at this time of sorrow.

Dick will be missed.

I heard of Dick's passing today. Its so hard to believe he is gone as John saw him at the FSU game last week. He was such a wonderful man and shall be missed. Mary, our prayers go out to you and your family. God Bless
