Not sure what to say?

I enjoyed friendship with Dick Winters at Hillsborough High in Tampa, Tampa U., and Spencer Memorial Church. Always a cheerful, positive spirit with a ready kind word, he will be remembered and missed. RIP Bill Baeckler

I knew Dick Winters in the mid fifties--we were students at University of Tampa and then when he was Music Director at Spencer Memorial. He was a kind, spirited and talented musician and friend to all of us. I am saddened to just now discover his passing. I share with all of those who have written here-- a terrific human. RIP! Bill Baeckler Hillsborough NC

I remember fondly Dick Winters. He was minister of music at my church in Tampa, Spencer Memorial Baptist Church. I was in the youth choir. I could not sing, but he encouraged me to be in the choir anyway and I loved it. My name was Sue Baker then. It was the early 60´s, late 50´s.

Mildred:

Even though Specer Memorial Baptist Church Baptist Church in Tampa, Florida no longer exists. My memories of Dick being my choir/youth director exist in my heart as if it were yesterday. I was the youngest church pianist Spencer Memorial Baptist ever had, following Casey, Sandra Moore, and her sister Deannie. With his constant encouragement I grew in my musical talent and my love for the Lord. I am now 68 years old and live in Largo, Florida. Even though my sight is...

Our thoughts and prayers are with you at this time. Dick and Mildred go back to our High School days at Hillsborough High School in Tampa, FL. Playing in the Band and all sports with him. Dick was a great sport, friend and musician. We enjoyed it all together. Now he will be leading the Heavenly Choir.

Our thoughts and prayers are with you in your time of grief. May your memories bring you comfort.
