I have a personal letter from Dick which is thoughtful and comforting. I shall possess this memento forever. RIP Major and a nation thanks you for your service.

My daughter saw Band of Brothers as a child. She so admired Maj. Winters that now 15 years later she named her first born son Winters. A testament to a great man! May you be reunited with all your brave colleagues.
