Not sure what to say?

Dear Winward Family,
We will miss seeing our dear e hoa at the New Zealand Reunions. Dick had a real Maori heart full of aroha for everyone. Please accept our sympathy.

"Doc" as we so fondly called our Dad's dearest friend, will always be remember as someone who loved the Lord and those around him. I can't think of Dad without thinking of Doc! Thanks for sharing him with our family. He will always have a tender place in our hearts. I'm sure he has already been instructed on the Finest Fishin' Holes! Much Love - Gerald's Family

Kia Ora Pauline and family,

I am so indebted to my wife for finding Dick's obituary. I feel so sad for your loss and my personal regrets. It was my pleasure to serve with Elder Winward in New Zealand and for three months traveling with him around the world. We laughed over many things one of which was when our group refused to let Dick get back in the Volswagen Bus until he had finished the Limburger cheese he purchased in Germany or Austria. Please accept my sincere sympathy...

To the Winward Family,
Our love and prayers are with you at this time.Doc Winward was a very special person to our family, his love and caring was always felt when we were around your family. He is now released from the confimes of a human body. God continue to bless and keep you.
Love always,
Betty Hollis Gould Jackson, Lynne Venable, Curtis Hollis, Nancy Tippets and families

Richrd Winward brought the gospel to my family 52 years ago in New Zealand. He was a wonderful, humble missionary that taught by the Spirit. I will be eternally grateful for his service.
When I went back to New Zealand on a mission, he came to my farewell and homecoming. His letters of support were so meaningful. He was a great example of a righteous priesthood holder and friend.
My prayers go out for his loving wife and family.

Please accept our deepest sympathies.

Dear Sister Winward:
We express our sincere sorrow and sympathy at the loss of your husband and our good friend. He has most certainly been a faithful and loyal supporter. We are in Oklahoma presently, visiting our children ,and will be unable to attend the services honoring your husband. Please know of our love for him and for you, and our prayer for your comfort at this difficult time.
Sincerely, Clive and Jean Barney
