Not sure what to say?

I met Richard Wirthlin while working at The Irvine Company. He was very gracious and patient with a young man learning the ins and outs of polling.

forgive me on behalf of the kintz family ,whitiier ca.God Bless you gailkintz

Dear Jeralie: I only found out about an hour ago. Told Anita and then called Joyce Stauffer. Anita and I are very saddened I much liked Richard and remember with great joy our association with both of you when we were living in public housing in Oakland and attending Church together. He was a very gentle man and such a pleasure to be with. I hope that you are well and know that you will be sustained by your Children and by the Lord. May God bless you. Virgil and Anita Valentine

Hello Jeralie! Oh how we are thinking of you..and your family. A lifetime isn't nearly long enough to spend with our sweethearts, is it? Our memories of each of you alway remain in our hearts. Chuck is not well and it is so difficult to take him places. We would have loved to give you a hug at Richard's funeral...and we did...just not in person. Our phone is 801.491.5004 and we are ALWAYS available for you. Give each of those wonderful children(Those who remember us) a hug and keep one for...

Always and forever no matter what...

It was an honor to help take care of your husband and father.

Richard was a favorite teacher of mine at BYU. He had myself and several other students to his home for dinner, this was wonderful experience for me and his wonderful blend of kindness, respect and intellect was a great blessing to those he came in contact with. My thanks and consolations to Sister Wirthlin and the entire family.

I first knew Richard at BYU, had worked out some joint business enterprise in the East, shared research on presidential leadership, served with the Reagan-Bush transition, and served with him in the Quorum while we were General Authorities. I love and respect Richard for the breath of of his life in effective service with Jeralie, his family, the country, and the Church. Bless you all. My life is enriched from fifty years of association with this good man.

My condolences to Jeralie Mae and family. May the words found at Psalms 90:10 give you a measure of comfort knowing that Richard lived a long and fulfilling life.

Our hearts go out to you at this time of great loss. I will always remember how you all touched our lives in Whittier. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.
