Not sure what to say?

I just returned from a SU Retirees luncheon at Drumlins where I learned of Dick's passing. My sincere condolences to Marlene and family. May he rest in peace and rise in glory! He was a good man.

I first met Dick Witham when we were both enrolled in Grace Culver's kindergarten. We shared twelve years in Dalton's schools. I was shocked to learn of his death. My deepest sympathy and prayers to his family.

I was fortunate to have Dick's friendship for over 40 years and even though we didn't see each other frequently when did we could pick up in the middle of a conversation we had months or years before. Dick's smile and charm were his calling cards and I never heard a negative word said about him by anyone. We will miss him and the laughs and cribbage games we enjoyed so much with him and Marlene. We are far away in distance but close to you in our thoughts and hearts. Neal Rose

I was so saddened to hear of Dick's passing. For years we worked together on various aspects of NCAA compliance issues at Syracuse University, and Dick was always a gentleman and a pleasure to work with. My condolences and prayers to his family.

great person and always a pleasure to be around,

We were so surprised to read of Dick's passing. Last time we saw him seems like last month but was in 2009 at our HS reunion. Dick was always such a gentleman and nice to be around. God Bless you Dick, pave the road for the rest of us to follow in God's time frame. Sincere condolences to your family. You will be missed for sure.

Very sorry to hear this news of my school mate. A good person.

I was dismayed to hear that Dick died. I also grew up in Dalton and have fond memories of Dick - class president and good guy. Someone called him Wickie Ditham by mistake once and I often thought of him that way with a smile. Sharon Burnes Fitzpatrick
