Not sure what to say?

I worked for Wolohan Lumber in the main offices from 1980 to 1983, as part of the advertising department under Jack Heslin and Harold Erskine. I designed shopper ads and in-store signage, and the occasional annual or quarterly reports. I had little contact directly with him, but remember how kind he was when we did talk. I also got to know his son Jim in accounting, a fine man himself. I fondly remember those days, and pass on my condolences.

To the Wolohan Family,
I just heard the news of Richard Wolohan death. My deepest sympathy and prayers to all his family. I worked for Wolohan Lumber Company and met Richard at the corporate office. I always remembered him driving in with his Cadillac and his briefcase. He was a very friendly and nice man. The type you met just once and you knew you liked him right away. To all his family--keep him close to your heart with all the loving memories you have of him. God bless all of...

Sincere condolences at this time of felt loss. Be consoled in knowing that dad and grandpa is with the Lord he served so well. Be assured of my remembrance of him and your family at mass.

To the Wolohan family, May God give you comfort in your time of grief. Jesus said you will know a tree by its fruit, a good tree produces good fruit and a bad tree produce bad fruit. Your father was a great man which can be seen by the fruit that his life has produced. Rev. Bill Bodnar

Dear Wolohans,
You had the best dad. He was a great man, dad, and Catholic. We will all miss the great father's of this generation. We share nothing but fond memories growing up at St. Stephens.

Dear Mike & Jim: I knew Dick primarily through civic matters and my late partner Tom Joseph. I never worked with a finer man. His name will doubtless be added to the Saginaw Hall of Fame as soon as the requisite time has passed. While I of course send my condolences, it's hard to lament a life so long, fruitful and well-lived.
Sincerely,

To Wolohan Family I was saddend to hear of Dicks passing. He truley was a man of great ambition. He had the hightest of morals and charter in his personal and busness life. I am very greatful for the opportunity Dick gave me to join Wolohan Lbr. as one of the original members. The experence was most enjoyable and rewarding for me and my family. Dick always said ,if you take care of the customer and the employees they ill take care of the stockholders. He was dedicated to this belief and it...

Dick's ego was the acknowledgment of someone else's success. His talent was surrounding himself with key personnel and constantly encouraging them to achieve their goals. We will all miss Dick and his compassion.

To the entire Wolohan Family,
Please know we are thinking of you all during this sad time.
