Not sure what to say?

Rich & I went to school together all of our lives through high school. He was quite the athlete and popular dude. I feel so fortunate to have run into Rich in 2018. We hiked, watched birds, laughed, acted silly and sang songs. It was a really fun time. he helped me in my garden and we planted stuff at his cabin. I will always remember the days we spent together. RIP, Woot. WE miss ya.

I'm saddened to see this. My dad, Rex Roll and Rich were great friends and you could often find them riding their bikes at organized rides and together in Warrick County. Rest in peace.

So very sorry for your loss Brooke and family. I met Rich in the early days of my career as a school psych 35 years ago. He was always funny, caring, and full of life. He connected with kids and adults very well. How he loved humor! Some of his jokes and one liners stick with me today. He always made me smile.

So sorry to hear about Richard's passing. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family. He was my next-door neighbor on Powell Ave. We had the best times playing - riding bikes, stretch, cowboys & indians, and kick-the-can. RIP, Richard,

I am 46 years old and can remember to this very moment the day Mr. Wooten walked into Mr. Madden's 5th grade class at Loge Elementary. I don't remember exactly why he was there, but he ended up telling us a long and scary story. It involved a dark lake, a monster and a third Wooten daughter. I can close my eyes and see the drawing he made of the monster! He made such an impact with his enthusiasm!
He will be remembered fondly.

A kind, compassionate human being. My Friend. His bear hugs were wonderful. May he live forever. I was blessed to have known him.

I always admired Rich. He was a class act and a fine athlete. He set records at Washington Grade School even before going to Bosse. He was always gracious. It doesn't surprise me that he studied Sociology and served as a counselor and social worker, among other jobs helping people. I'm deeply touched by his passing and the beautiful words about his life.

Rich was a tremendous friend and a great educational partner for many years. We shared many good times together at Ellis Park, his cabin and many rides in the country. Thanks for the memories friend. Take care Brooke
