The first time I remember seeing Rick he was standing outside Wendler Jr. High School. Back in the late 60's I thought he was my brother. As I walked toward him it wasn't until I was about ten feet away before I realized he wasn't him. Almost a splitting image at the time. His wavy hair combed back with his black Buddy Holly glasses. I don't remember how we became friends but we did. Rick was one of my best friends in this life. I don't know if I laugh as much with anybody as I did with Rick....
