Not sure what to say?

We met Dick when he was working in CT after retirement from the Navy. Dick was a guest at my wedding back in NJ in the 1980's. He was always a fine gentleman when we were in contact with him. Back in 1996, my husband Jim and I were driving our three little girls, all in diapers, to NJ for a family party. We stopped in CT to have a quick lunch with Dick. Dick happened to snap a candid, gorgeous picture of all of five of us which I have framed by my bedside. I look at it every night...

My sincere condolences. I served under Capt. Wright aboard the USS Milwaukee in 1976. No finer gentleman.

Dear Libby, Ben, Christian, Lizzie, Rebecca, Willy, Ken and family: My thoughts are with you, at this time of losing your husband and father. As my stepfather in my teen years and young adulthood, Dick shaped my life in wonderful, positive ways, for which I am deeply grateful.

I knew Dick Wright through Libby and her family in Flat Rock, NC. He was always kind and honorable. Thank you Dick Wright for your service to our country.

Thinking of Libby and the Wright & Guérard families. Dick was a true gentleman. May he Rest In Peace, Beverly

Dear Elizabeth, family and friends of Dick, On behalf of the United States Submarine Veterans, we offer our sincere condolences at Dick´s passing. Please know that you are in our thoughts and prayers. We are always saddened whenever a fellow "Bubblehead" departs on Eternal Patrol. He served with honor on the USS Baltimore CA-68, USS Atule SS-403, USS Pickerel SS-524, USS Patrick Henry SSBN-599, USS Benjamin Franklin SSBN-640, and as Commanding Officer of USS James Monroe SSBN-622. So very sorry. My thoughts are with his family and extended family.
