Not sure what to say?

Richard loved his family fiercely. He was creative, authentic, incredibly hard working, and extremely generous. He was genuine and so kind to me for the many years I was fortunate to know him and his family. I am extremely saddened to hear of his passing. It sounds as though he was true to himself to the very end. My heart will forever have a place with the entire York family and I extend my sincerest condolences to each of you. Richard´s force will be transcendent.

I knew Richard from high school and also worked with him at one time. This world has lost a fine man

I have known Richard for 58 years since 7th grade at Mineral Springs. We were room mates in college at Wingate. Seems like a lifetime ago. My career took me out west and I never moved back to Winston-Salem. I have talked to Richard several times over the years and always visited with him whenever I would come back to Winston. Richard was an incredible person with a top shelf character. He set the standard for dedication and support to his family and friends. I visited Richard several weeks...

We are so sorry to learn of Richard's passing. Prayers for peace of mind and heart for each of you.

I worked with Richard. He very competent, knowledgeable, set high expectations but was always fair. I learned a lot from him. Respectfully.

My sincere Condolences to all his family and friends. Richard was my manager in the car businesses, one of the best managers I ever had . I know he will be greatly missed. Terri Mrazek

I worked with Richard at Champion Industries many years ago. Great guy! I was pleased to cross paths again buying a car from Modern a few years later. I am sad to hear I will not cross his path again here on this spinning orb. I smile at his memory as his unique humor lingers. The thermostat beside his desk had a sign on it: ' If you cold, put on a sweater. If you hot, step outside.' He denied knowing anything about it, but the twinkle in his eyes told the tale!

To my brother, this is not goodbye, but see you later. Love, Tammy

Rest in peace, give Bob a big hug for me. Love you so very much. This is not goodbye, but see you later...your sister Tammy.
