Dad, I remember on Easter Mom (Mary Zewiey) would dress us up and Terry, Richie, Mark, Larry and I would squeeze in the car and drive to the South End on Waltham St. and visit my grammy Josie, Aunty Celia, and uncle Nicky. Grammy was not suppose to eat chocolates, but you always managed to sneak them in. When we got home, Aunty Celia would call and yell at you.

I remebered when I saw Richie in his Marine uniform,I started to cry. I wrote to him in the service as I...

TO MY FATHER IN LAW, IT WAS A GREAT PLEASURE TO KNOW A MARINE SCOUT WHO FOUGHT IN THE PACIFIC THEATER DURING WORLD WAR 11 AND WHO WAS PART OF THE GREATEST GENERATION. IN THE YEARS THAT I KNEW YOU, WE HAD OUR SHARE OF LAUGHS AND GOOD TIMES. EVEN WHEN YOU TOLD THOSE AWFUL JOKES THAT WERE PROBABLY AROUND DURING THE GENERAL CUSTER DAYS. NOW THAT YOU HAVE GONE TO A HIGHER LEVEL, I HOPE YOU ARE ENJOYING YOUR LOVED ONES, OLD FRIENDS, AND MY BROTHER FRANK. REST IN PEACE, DAD. LOVE TONY.

My dearest dad, first the regrets. Sorry you suffered so much toward the end. Sorry you had such a hard life. Sorry we couldn't spend more time together. Now the gratitude. Thank you for keeping all of our sisters together. I know it wasn't easy for you, but you persevered. Thanks for all the history lessons, you really were knowledgeable. Thank you for teaching me the proper way to speak Arabic. Thanks for keeping music in our hearts. Thanks for having a heart of gold, especially for...
