Not sure what to say?

We had a lot of fun covering high school sports with Dick, Ed Chay, Dan Coughlin, Chuck Webster, etc. Dick, it seemed, knew everyone in Cleveland and was loved by all. A nicer man was never created. Blessings on you, Zip.-- Paul Kantz (PD Sports, 1960-85)

Dick was a great friend, a super Ignatian, a ready smile and greeting for all. He was always interested in everyone. Dick never seem to have a bad day!
We will miss him greatly.

Dick's reporting was always fair and balanced. He was a great person and a good friend. He and the entire Zunt family will be in my prayers.

I AM BLESSED TO HAVE MET DICK ZUNT. A FRIEND WHO HAD A POSITIVE IMPACT ON SO MANY. ALWAYS HAD A SMILE . DEEPEST SYMPATHY TO THE ZUNT FAMILY.

God Bless your family.

Old neighbor, old friend you will forever be in our hearts. From the old neighborhood, to your covering all dad's track and cross country meets (Rhodes High School) over the decades, your passion for your job and reporting was par excellence. Even in the end while you battled cancer and were retired from the PD, you were willing to research a story about our dads career before he passed. The Zunt family will forever have a warm place in our hearts.

I am saddened to hear of Mr. Zunts passing. I, as a child for many years shoveled his driveway. Even now years later as i am in my middle 20s he would drive down our street on his way home and give me a wave and huge smile. He was such a sweet and loving man. Deepest sympathy to his family and friends. His kind heart will truly be missed.

Sincerely

To the family of Dick Zunt. I always respected and admired Dick. When I first got into working on high school sports for The Columbus Dispatch Sports about 25 years ago, I called Dick several times a week to get updates on the Cleveland area boys and girls basketball scores for tourney time, and Dick always took time to get me updated with the master list of games. Then during the summer in the middle 1980's he made me copies of many years of his own tourney brackets from his own personal...

Dear Zunt Family;
Please accept the sympathy from the Haddad family. Mr. Zunt was such a bonus to meet at most sporting events at St. Ignatius with his warm smile and engaging conversation. He will be remembered by our family very fondly. God Bless You .
