I worked for Mr Barger for 16 years.
He was a wonderful man with a heart of gold.
He was loved by many of the tenants of the Portland Rose Apartments who met him when he used to come up to PORTLAND and visit.

I only knew Mr. Barger by his , cases with his firm and through his daughter, Kathryn. I wish I had known him personally but I was touched by his presence nonetheless.

As a client of Dick's for many years, I grew to admire him not only as a lawyer but as a friend. Having both grown up in Indiana, we loved reminiscing over lunch or dinner about our days there and enjoyed spirited, but always cordial, discussions about the athletic fortunes of our alma maters, Purdue and Indiana, which are arch rivals. I will greatly miss those lunches and dinners. Dick, the world was a better place because of you.
