Not sure what to say?

I am greatly saddened about Richmond's death. I just learned of his death. He has been a friend of mine since high school.Richmond was one of the kindest people I know. His generosity knew no bounds. He voluntarily tutored me in Algebra in high school.Although not my wife's advisor, he was instrumental in assisting my wife in obtaining her masters in history.Richmond was a noble person.
A life well lived. He will be missed.

I just learned of Rich's death. I first met Rich in the 6th Grade, and we remained friends through high school and beyond. I bumped into Rich in 1989 fresh out of the Marine Corps while walking into the history department at the University of South Alabama, where he had just arrived months earlier. We talked for quite a good while and I frequently asked him for advice as I worked toward my degree.

He was gracious, indeed unpretentious, intelligent, well-rounded, and simply a pleasure...

I just found out about Richmond's passing through the Spring Hill College Alumni magazine. My sincere condolences to his family, friends and colleagues. I was Richmond's RA in Spring Hill's Mobile Hall for two years. Even then, he was an extraordinary man, great in soul, spirit, and friendship, all conjoined with a searing, though unpretentious, intellect. In reading through these Guest Comments, I am heartened to see that he continued to live this way through the rest of his life. Richmond...

Richmond is an integral part of my childhood memories. What a loss to us all. Richmond was always kind, intelligent and had a great sense of humor. Rest easy, my friend.

One of the pleasures of attending SECOLAS was visiting with you, Rich. Thanks for your many years of service and collegiality in the organization. The conferences won't be the same without you.

My sincere condolences to the family for your loss. May God lift you up as you draw close to him in prayer. Psalm 94:18,19

Ah Rich -- off to the True Land of Eternal Spring I reckon. You are already missed. I dined with two old friends of yours this evening and we told Richmond tales. Va pues cuate.

I am honored and blessed to have known Dr. Richmond Brown. He was truly a blessing in my life. I was deeply saddened by the loss. My heart goes out to you and may my prayers serve as comfort to you and your loved one. I will miss him.
