Not sure what to say?

I just got the news from a former classmate today. I know it has been several months and Rick and I had not been in touch for a very long time. However, I must say that it was a joy knowing him. We graduated together from BNI. He was a funny guy and a fierce competitor on the court. He was always a joy to be around. I am very saddened that his life was cut so short. God Bless the Alspach family. My prayers are eternally with you.

I want to start out with a few things you may not know about Rick:
• He was fluent in Italian and Spanish. His favorite words from each language being “Graci” spoken like the Italian Mafia and “Banos” which means bathroom in Spanish?
• He lived in a lake house right here in Dyer, IN
• He recently named one of his hairstyles “morning mist”
• He was rich
• He actually had 600 movies in his top 5
• He always had a Miami glow and it definitely was not from my bronzer...

Rick,
I just heard of your untimely passing. When we worked together at Sam's you were the funniest guy i knew.. Quick witted, humorous and always made a bad day at least something to smile about.. People were always drawn to your electric personality.. It's sad the world has lost such a truely great person... my heart goes out to your family.

I simply want to express my condolences to Rick's family. He was truly a light in the world and as all the entries express he will be missed! May God be with you.

My buddy Rick,

I feel obligated to apologize to you for the delay in writing to you however am confident that you have heard our many prayers for your family and your beloved Amber Rae.

Over the past few weeks I have been overwhelmed by the touching entries detailing the experience or impact that Rick has had on many of you.

While I did not have the honor of knowing Rick as long as most of you, I understand the connection because even though I only knew him...

Sue,Rick,Nikki & Family,

My heart aches for you. Please know that you are in my thoughts and prayers every day. May God be with you. And keep watching for those feathers, humming birds and butterflies and know that Rick is watching over you.

Nothing that is loved is ever lost...
No one who has touched a life,
Who has brought beauty into the world is ever truly gone.
May God Bless your family always,
