my condolences to the ashmore family.i worked at ups with rick for his entire career.in that time,we became good friends.he was a good listener,and very easy with a laugh.who could ask for more.i will miss my friend always,but take comfort knowing he is no longer in pain.rest in peace

I just found out about Rick's passing today from Jim Munson. For the past several years I always ran into Rick at the "Wauconda Street Dance", but not this year, now I know why. It's hard to believe he's gone. Rick and I were rookie drivers together at UPS back in '95. We became good friends over the years. You could always count on Rick if you needed help or just wanted to vent about the stress of the job. I'll never forget the night Rick got his truck stuck in the mud on a dirt road in Lake Forest when he was a swing driver.
