Dear Nicolet Family,
Rick was very dear to me. Although I lost contact with him over the years, I spend several God-filled years working with Rick in youth ministry (1977-1981), as a part of Sunlife Christian / Covenant Fellowship Church in El Paso, Texas.
Our youth ministry met in my home, beginning with 3 youth - growing to 50-100 on a weekly basis within 3 years.
Rick was a wonderful teacher and gained the hearts of youth with his love of God and his incredible sense of...

Though I hadn't seen Rick in many years, I remember his impact on our Youth Group in the late 70's at a church in El Paso, TX. Always smiling, always gracious, always laughing; he brought the word of God to us with passion and had a lasting impact on many of us. I know he will be missed by the body of believers he has ministered to. I am deeply sorry for your loss.

I can't count the number of times I have thought of Rick since he was my Youth Pastor in the 70's. He was a uniquely gifted man who impacted alot of young lives, including mine. I am so comforted to know he finished the race well.

We are Kenny & Sally Hannah from Fort Wayne. We only knew Rick the past few years when he would come to Fort Wayne to visit his Mom and then would visit our church(Carroll Road Christian Church). We have known the Nicolet family(Gertie & Ken) for years and Ken was at our church Sunday morning and told us of Rick's homegoing. Needless to say we are shocked and saddened as he was just here in Jan. He usually would sit with us when visiting our church.
Our hearts go out to you and your...

Rick was also my youth pastor in 1979 in El Paso, Tx. I am now 52. As Robin Wilkens stated, Rick was very influential in my beginning Christian walk. He planted many seeds in my newly saved heart. I now live in the Philippines serving God in a local church. I know Abundant Life was blessed by his service to God toward you.

I don’t know any of you fine folks, but I wanted to extend my condolences and give my thanks to God for Rick. Rick was my youth pastor waaaaaay back in the late 70’s in a little church here in El Paso, TX. That little church has gone through many changes, but we are still here. Rick was very influential in my young Christian life, and for that I will always be grateful. I am glad to see he was still ministering to folks and serving God. May our Lord and Savior bring comfort to those he’s...

Our prayers are with the Nicolet family. May you find comfort, strength and joy of the memories you made with Rick. What a blessing and honor for all of those who received Rick's amazing gift of compassion and grace throughout the years!

Our thoughts and prayers are with you in your time of grief. May your memories bring you comfort.
