Not sure what to say?

Hi Parry I remember/think of Rick often! I still see friends that I met through Rick, like Jim M., Robbie C, and the deceased Dan McGowan. Also, when I about Macalester I think of Rick. Sharing the house on Lincoln in St. Paul was a fun time. We had a lots of laughs and some great parties. We learned a lot about life and survived it, as well. RIP Rico!

I am finally coming to the realization that Rick is really gone. He was a dear friend for over 40 years from the late 70’s when we worked together at the Minnesota Senate. After he went home to Kansas City in 1981 that meant frequent trips there for real, outdoor baseball at least once every summer. We took a trip to New York to watch his brother, Bob, in an off-Broadway plan, and spent a week with Rick and Parry at his parents’ beautiful Oceanside home in Puerta Vallarta. Rick was always...

Oh I will never forget him. He was great friend, I miss playing guitars together. Here's to you Rick!

A kind, funny, witty man. So very sad to hear of his passing. A friend from post Macalester years.

Hi Parry,

So sorry to hear about Rick's passing. We were just planning a trip to Maine this fall and thinking about the two of you. We are remembering all the good times we had together. We also are spending a couple of months in Vero Beachin the winter and think of you and your and your wonderful sister when we are near Melbourne. Love to you and RIP Rick.

I remember Rick and Dick Kerr playing guitar together at the Our House coffee house. He had a playful, great spirit that he shared with those around him. I'm sorry to hear of his passing.

I too worked with Rick at the MN legislature. He was a fun and funny guy! So sorry to hear of his 4-year struggle and death. My heartfelt condolences to all who love him.

Rick was just the best, across the board. So very sorry to learn of his passing. Much love to all. He is in the light.

Wow, what sad news. Rick and I were very close in high school. Played guitars together at 'Our House' coffee house, learned Kingston Trio songs from his brother Bob, even played at some of his parents cocktail parties. (His parents were great people). We played soccer together with his exchange student Jen from Denmark. I remember Jen's first night in KC, we took him 'dryer riding' (just hop in a dryer at a laundry mat, scared the ==== out of Jen!) we took some wild 'rides' in his parents...
