Rick was a good friend and one of the most interesting and consciences people I have ever met. I will miss his numerous phone call conversations and take on the latest news, politics and spiritual issues. RIP my friend

Myself and Rick were in student congress, mid-seventies at GRJC together. He always had a quick wit, sense of humor and was always very confident. We all referred to him as "Veen". Best of happiness to the family in the days to come.

Sending condolences to Rick's family. I knew Rick at Aquinas, and worked with him at GRCC where his can-do attitude, optimism, and professionalism were unsurpassed. It was always a pleasure to meet him, knowing he would be super supportive in planning events and setups. Rest in peace.

Rick was a colleague of mine for many years at GRJC/GRCC, when I founded and directed the Hospitality Department (now SICE) and Rick worked at the Ford Fieldhouse. I was also the Foodservice Director for 11 years, and coordinated many events with Rick that were held at the Fieldhouse. But some of my best memories happened with Rick when we both were part of the monthly poker games held among many on the GRJC/GRCC administrative staff. Rick accomplushed mire in his life tgn most people do. Nothing stopped him i sure renember our two families going to Silver Lake every year!
