Mr. Ricky C. Baker, 52, of 35 Sunshine Lane, Fayetteville, PA, crossed over to heaven at 2:20 P.M., Thursday, February 12, 2009 in the Chambersburg Hospital. Born February 4, 1957 in Waynesboro, he was the son of the late Clifford Baker and Katherine (Sites) Guynn. Mr. Baker was a graduate of Fairfield High School. He served with the Pennsylvania Army National Guard, 28th Infantry Division. He and his wife of over 34 years, Debra M. (Hess) Baker, were married on April 26, 1974. He worked at Grove Manufacturing Shady Grove, PA, and also Abraxas Secured Treatment Center in South Mountain. He was also active in the Boy Scouts as a Scoutmaster. He loved the Lord. He also enjoyed motorcycle riding, fishing, and having family get togethers, especially with his grandson. In addition to his wife, he is survived by one daughter, Lori Niccole Baker of Waynesboro; one son, Rick O'Shea Baker of Waynesboro; his grandson, Evan O'Shea Baker; one sister, Judy Freeman of Waynesboro; two brothers, Daniel Guynn of Waynesboro, and Joseph Guynn of York, PA; and a number of nieces and nephews. Services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Sunday, February 15, 2009, in Grove-Bowersox Funeral Home, 50 S. Broad St., Waynesboro, with Rev. Dr. Mervil R. Stambaugh, officiating. Burial will follow in Strang's Cemetery in South Mountain, where military graveside honors will be conducted by the honor guard of Charles Nitterhouse V.F.W. Post #1599, Chambersburg. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the services, Sunday afternoon, in the funeral home.
