Ricky J.R. Butler

Ricky J.R. Butler, 69 of Gustine passed away Saturday, April 23rd at his residence surrounded by family.

Ricky was born in Oklahoma and was a long time resident of Watsonville. He has lived in Gustine for the last 2½ years. He owned his own Trucking Company before retiring but was a man of many trades. He was a self-taught man who could figure out any problem you set before him. He loved the outdoors fishing, camping, boating, hunting and spending time with his family. He loved his motorcycles and everything about them.

Ricky Butler is survived by his wife of 51 years, Linda Butler of Gustine; son, Ricky Butler, Jr. of Clovis; daughter, Connie Ruiz of Gustine; brothers, Dean Butler of Merced and Amos Butler of Watsonville; sisters, Stella Borba of Watsonville and Leatha Williams of Bangor; 5 grandchildren, Mark Ruiz, Joey Ruiz, Abby Ruiz, Alexus Butler, Damian Alvarez-Butler and 1 great-grandchild, Kainan Alvarez-Butler.

A Remembrance Service will be held at 11:00 am, Friday, April 29th at Hillview Funeral Chapel in Gustine for family and friends. Inurnment will be private.
