Ricky Elton Hooks MULLINS - Ricky Elton Hooks, 49, husband of Sheila Small Hooks, died Monday, November 4, 2013 from injuries sustained during an automobile accident. Ricky was born April 1, 1964 in Mullins, a son of Georgia Campbell Hooks and the late P.C. Hooks. He was employed with the maintenance department of Francis Marion University. Surviving Ricky in addition to his wife of the home are: his Mother: Georgia Campbell Hooks of Mullins,; 2 Sons: Brandon Elton Hooks and William Rick Fields; a Stepdaughter: Ashlee G. Lester: a Grandchild: Rylee S. Lester; a Brother: Johnny Hooks of Mullins; 4 Sisters: Judy Hooks Laxton of Mullins, Jackie H. Strickland of Nichols, Betty Hooks of Columbia and Mable Hooks of Columbia; 2 Half-brothers: Cecil Hooks of Mullins and Aubrey Hooks of Virginia; a Half-sister: Wanda Graham of Bayboro; and several nieces and nephews. Ricky was predeceased by a brother, Jimmy Hooks. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 P.M. Thursday, November 7, at the Chapel of Cox-Collins Funeral Home with Rev. Glenn Brown officiating. Burial will follow in Red Hill Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Visitation will be held Wednesday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. at Cox-Collins Funeral Home.

I think about you from time to time. It may be a person who favors you. When I talk to Ricky Martin, we always mention you. It bothered both of us when you passed. I remember so much about you. You are missed. I know your wife and Brandon miss you.

Our thoughts and prayers are with you all during this tragic loss. Ricky was such a special person and always had a beautiful smile. He will missed by so many people whose life he touched. May he rest in peace.

God bless this family. What a wonderful person Ricky was. It warmed my heart to hear he had accepted Christ. If there is ANY comfort to be found it is in that fact. To Sheila and the children.....i will pray for your comfort . I will pray that memories will pull you through.
