Bobbie & Family,

I am so sorry to hear of Rik's passing, he will truly be missed by all that knew him. My thoughts and prayers go out to all of you in this most difficult time. May God Bless.

To the Johnston family,

I was so shocked to hear of Rik's passing. He called me just a few months ago. We had the most wonderful conversation. Rik had a way of making me laugh and smile every time we talked.
It's been 20 years since I moved from Blacksburg but Rik and I always managed to stay in touch. Rik always made our phone chats seem like we had just talked or seen each other the day before. I will missing visiting with him whenever I'm in Blacksburg.
My heart goes out to...

I have many memories of Rick from when Rita babysat my sister and I when my family lived on Progress Street. My heart goes out to the family during this time of loss. Love and prayers.

Dana Anton (Kathy Cranor's daughter)

Rik will be greatly missed but never forgotten. He was a wonderful person who had a huge heart. My prayers are with his family.

My prayers are with you all, for the loss of Rik. I worked with him at Wolverine, and talked to him often at wilco. I loved him so much he had a wonderful spirit, and loved his niece dearly. you all were so blessed to have such a wonderful son and brother. He will be missed by all who truely knew him.
God bless you all.
