Frederick (Ricky) Eugene Schroder, Jr., age 63, of 260 Rockwood Drive, died Saturday, October 24, 2015 in an automobile accident.

Born in Greenville, Mr. Schroder was a son of the late Frederick Eugene and Rose Moore Schroder. He graduated from Greenville High School, he attended Auburn University, and he graduated magna cum laude from Clemson University with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. In 2001, he received an MBA from the University of South Carolina. Mr. Schroder was the owner of S Systems, LLC, a small engineering consulting firm. He was a Registered Professional Engineer.

Mr. Schroder was a member of Christ Church Episcopal, where he was a dedicated usher. He was a member of the St. Andrew's Society, The Cotillion Club, and the Greenville Country Club. He was a great tennis player and an avid football fan.

Surviving are his wife, Caroline Wrigley Schroder, of the home; two sons, Frederick Eugene Schroder III and his wife, Stacy, of Greenville and George Wrigley Schroder and his wife, Darby, of Columbia; one daughter, Caroline Schroder Croft and her husband, Thomas Croft, Jr., of Greenville; a brother, William Moore Schroder, two sisters, Rose Schroder Murphy and Harriet Schroder Landers, all of Greenville; and five grandchildren, Thomas and Charlotte Croft, Annie Legare, Wrigs, and Bud Schroder.

Funeral services will be 4:00 PM Tuesday at Christ Church Episcopal. Burial will follow in the churchyard.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to United Way of Greenville County, 105 Edinburgh Court, Greenville, SC 29607 or to the Greenville Humane Society, 305 Airport Road, Greenville, SC 29607.

Rick, I am so sorry to learn about the death of your father. You are in my thoughts as you grieve such a profound loss.
