RICKY L. WINSTON, JR. "GEA"
Ricky L. Winston, Jr., age 27, also known as "Gea" of Gurnee, IL, was born the 29th day of September, 1982 to Ricky L. Winston, Sr. and Sheena E. Anderson in Hammond, IN and ended his life's journey the 30th day of January, 2010. Gea attended the Hammond Public Schools and was a graduate of Thornwood High School in South Holland, IL Class of 2001. He attended Jesus Name Apostolic Church of Waukegan, IL. Gea's memory will forever be cherished by his wife, Azuree Winston, together with their two daughters: Ricquia and Azariah Winston, as well as his parents: Sheena (Will) Wallace and Ricky Winston; two brothers: Edward Mercer and Willie T. Wallace, Jr.; one sister, Shanice Winston; and grandmother, Margaret Taylor. Gea is also survived by his mother and father-in-law: Gloria Upshaw and Anthony (Chevelle) Smith, Sr.; brother and sister-in-law: Anthony (Juavanda) Smith, Jr. and Courtney Smith; four aunts; seven uncles; and numerous cousins and friends. Visitation will be Saturday, February 6, 2010 from 10:00-11:00 a.m. at New Hope Missionary Baptist Church, Hammond, IN, where Rev. Herman A. Polk, Sr. is Pastor. Homegoing Services at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor John Caples of Jesus Name Apostolic Church of Waukegan, IL officiating. Interment will take place at Fern Oaks Cemetery in Griffith, IN. Professional services rendered by Smith Bizzell Warner & Son Funeral Home "Your Golden Rule Funeral Home", 4209 Grant Street, Gary, IN 46408.
