Rina Stahl Freedman

I am a former pupil of Mrs Freedman, when she taught English at the Gymnase de la Cité in Lausanne, Switzerland, in1974, while her husband was professor of internal medicine at our university hospital. I was 16-17 years old at that time and can remember wonderful moments of the courses she gave us. We went through, among others, the lyrics of Simon and Garfunkel's "Sound of Silence" and Don Mc Lean's "Miss American Pie". Rina was pure goodness wrapped in a deeply grounded intellect. Rina was all about honesty, thoughtfulness, kindness and could make you laugh when you didn´t think you had a smile left in you, and all with such grace. She touched our hearts and changed our lives for the better. Godspeed Rina

This news was a shock to me. Rina always had a bright smile as i saw her at NCP. I loved hearing her say her name. (There was a proudness i could hear in her) Rina will be missed.

Having a very hard time waking every morning to be reminded that my beautiful friend is gone. Will always hold Rina in my heart and deeply miss her sage advise and love!

I´ve lived next door to Rina most of my adult life. I am so saddened by this loss. She was a fabulous neighbor.
